IN
HIS SHOES: THE LIFE OF JESUS
|
 |
In
February 2008, I began to write a documentary for a new Bible software
platform called GLO. I worked with Nelson Saba, the founder and
creative mastermind, on his previous work, traveling to Israel and
directing some videos that appeared on Ilumina. |
|
This
time Nelson told me he wanted a more cohesive documentary that
followed the life of Jesus. I set out and worked for two months
on a script that was 143 pages long.
Then
I asked him who he wanted to host this documentary. Nelson got
back to me later: "You."
"ME!"
Came the response.

After
my own deliberation, I agreed and in May 2008 we shot the documentary
for three weeks, traveling all over Israel with Avner Goren, a
world famous archaeologist as our guide.
When
we returned, I arranged interviews with some of the greatest writers
and scholars of our time: Max Lucado, William Paul Young, Norman
Geisler and Joel Hunter.
|
|
The
results were a 3 1/2 hour documentary, 26 chapters long, called
"In His Shoes: The Life of Jesus."
It
was an amazing experience and one we hope to repeat very soon.
