ABOUT ME

Troy Schmidt began writing animation in Los Angeles in 1985 (Dennis the Menace, Heathcliff, Flintstone Kids), fulfilling his dream of making it in Hollywood after college.

In 1992, he moved to Orlando to write for The "Mickey Mouse Club," working on staff for three seasons. He wrote comedy sketches for the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling and other young singers and actors.

Since then Troy wrote for three Disney parades on ABC (Easter and Christmas) with Regis Philbin, Wayne Brady and D.L. Hughley, a Disney Animal Kingdom show and for the Hard Rock Café website as the Managing Content Editor, where he interviewed members from a number of bands including Godsmack, Nickelback, Pantera and Three Doors Down.

In 2003, he adapted a Max Lucado children's book, "Hermie The Common Caterpillar," into a video, then created and wrote future video installments and children's books. The series involved the talents of Tim Conway, Don Knotts, Vicki Lawrence, Third Day, Max Lucado and Judge Reinhold.

Since that time, Troy has had the privilege of working on a number of exciting projects at Walt Disney World, Nickelodeon and two documentaries shot in Israel.

Troy is a pastor at First Baptist Church Windermere where, in addition to speaking on a regular basis, he also writes dramas for the services.

He is married to Barbie and has three sons, Riley, Brady and Carson.
